Dear German NFL League Members,

After a great deal of thought, I have decided that it is time for me to step away from MyFootballNow and leave the German NFL League.

As many of you know, I was one of the founding members of this league back in 2019. Over the past 33 seasons, all the way through 2051, we have built something special together. We've shared competition, rivalries, successes, disappointments, and countless memorable moments. For that, I want to thank each and every one of you.

It has been an honor to serve as both the General Manager of the Cleveland Browns and as the league's administrator throughout this incredible journey.

Unfortunately, over time I have found that the enjoyment I once had for the game has faded. The newer versions of the game, the redesigned interface, the monetization system, and especially the continued exploitation of various game mechanics and loopholes have gradually taken away much of the fun for me. Whether these practices are viewed as clever strategy or simply taking advantage of flaws in the system is a matter of perspective, but they have moved the game further away from what I personally enjoyed about it.

This decision is not directed at any individual player. It is simply the result of realizing that the game no longer provides the same experience that kept me engaged for more than three decades of league history.

While my time as an active participant has come to an end, I will continue to follow the league for a few more days. We will also need a successor to take over league administration duties. If anyone is interested in stepping into that role, please feel free to volunteer. I am happy to help with the transition and ensure the league remains in good hands.

Thank you all for being part of this journey. Building and leading this league has been one of my favorite experiences in online gaming, and I will always look back on it with pride.

I wish all of you the very best, both in the seasons ahead and beyond.

It's a real shame that you want to / have decided to leave us. I've always enjoyed being here in the league. Maybe we'll see each other again in this game once things have progressed a bit further. Otherwise, I wish you all the best.

I’d think it would be great if one of the “founders” could take over the admin role. But that leaves only ioan, smoke, and me. Would any of you be willing to take on the role?
Or what are your thoughts on the league’s future?

EDIT: I'll be off to a short holiday until Monday, so wont' write any extended posts, because it sucks on the phone.

Fortunately (thx Titans!) I was able to resolve my own little cap **** enough to get the rest done on my mobile. Plus, not much time to draft or research anyway, so trading away those picks to later years helped with that, too.

The position exploitation, especially the WR\CB make it less enjoyable. Sorry to see you go, i 've thought of leaving myself. Good luck

Since no one has volunteered yet, I’d be willing to take on the admin role. I’m not sure how to go about it, though, and do I have to pay anything? Because I didn’t want to do this.

Ist eigentlich nicht viel zu beachten und mehr kostet es auch nicht.

Habe überwiegend immer nur danach geschaut, dass die Liga einigermaßen ausgeglichen ist udn ab und an in di eRoster sgchaut, ob das auch so eingehalten wird.

Ebenso habe ich Jahr für jahr den Season Thread neu eröffnet.

Ansonsten war immer eine Aufgabe zu schauen, dass die aktiven Manager einen vermeintlichen positiven ausgelichen Cap Space hatten udn habe dann unter bestimmten Bedingungen (Mannschft neu übernommen) den Cap Sapce zurückgesetzt.

I'd say "maybe you'll come back", but that's a rarity around this game, where nothing is happening other than this UI nonsense.

Thanks Beers for the great, exciting, and always cool time, and for taking on the admin role from the very beginning. It’s a shame that you are also leaving now. I really liked the early days, and I felt the same as you: over time, the fun was lost because of all the changes. I still came back once or twice, hoping it would grab me again, but it didn’t. That’s really a shame, because I would love to play an NFL manager game that feels realistic – at least that’s what this game offered me at the beginning.

All the best for your future, and also to the original founders like Smoke, Hurricane, Ioanblood, and everyone else. Maybe one day there will be another great NFL online manager game :) and maybe we’ll cross paths again somewhere down the road.
